Individual Killer whale pods
have very distinct calls.


The following audio recordings* of Killer Whales were recorded
by staff of the Center for Whale Research. These audio tracks
are provided for educational purposes only

Individual orca populations can be identified by their underwater communication.
Following are examples of typical calls from the three pods of Southern Residents,
along with one short clip of Transient Killer whales for comparison purposes.
