Onlookers watch from the shoreline of the Victoria waterfront as J1 takes a breath.

Report from Mark Malleson:
"Picked up the J's at 1315 1.5 nm south of Ogden Point (48 23.3 123 22.8)and left them at 1451 at Lee Rock which is just outside Oak Bay Marina (48 25.1 123 17.0. When we arrived they were in a resting formation and after 20 minutes they split up and travelled close to shore on the Victoria waterfront and through Oak Bay. It looked as though there was some brief foraging in Ross Bay (east of Clover Point) by a couple of animals."
