As in any field research project there are times when the camera misses the action. When this occurs an illustration may, to a degree, capture the essence of an experience. The illustration above depicts J19 (left) and J35 (right) converging to both share a fish and pin a rambunctious J41 (center) between the two older whales. The salmon depicted in the illustration above was shared by the whales, and scales were collected for analysis.
