Encounter # 91 • December 9 • T63,T65 at Johnstone Reef Begin Encounter : 14:55 This encounter began with a call from a friend on Stuart Island. We spotted two transients from the Center and were then able to guide those who were on the water in the right direction! The unknown whales turned out to be T63 and T65. The whales were traveling slow, south-bound, and spread apart from each other. While finding whales makes any day a good one, the rainbow over San Juan Island was just icing on the cake! |
