After watching the T18's (T18, T19, T19B and T19C) travel slowly north past the Center for Whale Research, both vessels departed Snug Harbor. The encounter began just off Kellett Bluff with the T18's traveling in a tight group close to shore. The made a harbor seal kill along the shore of Henry Island. The encounter ended just south of Stuart Island with the whales heading north along the shorelline.
