Departed Snug Harbor: 3:30 p.m.

We encountered J's spread out in groups traveling south two miles south of Tip Top Hill, Stuart Island at 3:46 p.m. At 4:39 p.m. we encountered the L22's spread out mid channel in Haro Strait. Shortly after we spoted the rest of the L12's. The encounter ended onle mile east of Kelp Reef with J27, J39, J31 and L77 in a tight group. The rest of J's and L12's were further south down the west side of San Juan Island.
